At this week's CES - the world's largest consumer electronics show - in Las Vegas (Jan. 8-11, 2007), G-Tech has announced that its new Bluetooth-enabled Messenger Bags are now available at major retailers across the USA.
Based on the demand for its iPod-enabled Messenger Bags, G-Tech says it has taken its design one step further, enabling users to wirelessly control their cell phone or iPod.
The new design incorporates ElekTex smart fabric technology allowing users to put cell phones or iPods in the bag and control them through a single touchpad on the strap of the bag. The Messenger Bag with Bluetooth features muting functions, making it easy to stop or resume music while responding to a call. The latest line of G-Tech Messenger Bags also offers built-in speaker functionality. Virtually any device, including a laptop, can be plugged into the bag's built-in, universal 3.5mm extension jack to take advantage of the speakers' high sound quality.
"The feedback to our G-Tech Messenger Bags has been phenomenal, especially among young adults and students," said Mark Treger of G-Tech. "We're thrilled with the new Bluetooth-enabled line and expect this new feature will catapult our success even further with young, style-conscious mobile professionals."
Eleksen's ElekTex is five-layer laminate of electrically conductive materials that transforms fabric into an electronic touchpad. The technology replaces hard touch pads, flexi-circuits, and polymer switches, which have limited the growth of the wearable electronics market with restrictive wiring. ElekTex's lightweight, flexible, washable material is revolutionizing design across the consumer electronics and wearables sectors.
