Nilit’s Suzhou nylon plant ready to open

Nilit’s new nylon production facility in Suzhou, PR China, will officially open on June 3, 2008. The plant is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, including new Barmag texturing machines.

“We are very proud and excited to welcome the new Suzhou facility into Nilit’s global manufacturing network,” says, Oded Breier, Nilit’s marketing and sales manager.  “Our Suzhou plant will upgrade the availability and quality of textured nylon yarns offered in the region and will also increase local access to Nilit’s technical experts.  This will be extremely valuable to our Chinese customers, especially those exporting to Western apparel markets.”

Initially, the 10,000 sq.m. facility will produce textured nylon yarns but plans are in place to expand capacity and to add spinning capabilities. Nilit’s unique energy conservation and recycling innovations have also been incorporated into the Suzhou plant design to ensure that the facility operates in an environmentally responsible manner.
