Groz-Beckert has officially opened its Technology and Development Centre (TEZ) in Albstadt.
The TEZ is aimed at creating new impetus for research and development, for an intensification of systematic thinking, for innovation and for synergies.
It will involve close cooperation with machine producers, machine users and partners to shape the textile future as well as delivering training and further education, according to the company.
Groz-Beckert had the idea of developing a comprehensive platform for innovation several years ago and the planning phase began in spring 2005.
It is the biggest construction project in Groz-Beckert's history. The floor space covers an area of 5,000sq m and the total area covered by the TEZ amounts to 25,000sq m, 14,000 of which are available as usable space, said the company.
Training opportunities are available to customers and employees in every Groz-Beckert core competence in the textile value-added chain. The TEZ is also enabling Groz-Beckert to increase transparency and further improve communication, it said.
