All of the leading companies in the garment manufacturing and textile processing markets have signed up for the inaugural edition of Texprocess, the new international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials, according to organisers Messe Frankfurt. The first Texprocess will be held in Frankfurt, Germany from May 24-27 2011, alongside Techtextil, the biggest international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, which takes place from May 24-26.
Messe Frankfurt has said that around 500 companies will present the latest machines, plant, processes and services for the garment and textile manufacturing industries at Texprocess on around 50,000 square metres of exhibition space. The range of products and services covers all processing stages, from design, cutting, CAD/CAM and processing preparations, via processing technologies and procedures, to garment and textile logistics, ironing, finishing, testing, waste disposal, recycling and environmental protection.
From Japan, registrations have been received from Juki, the world’s biggest sewing-machine manufacturer, as well as Brother Sewing Machines, Pegasus and Yamato. Other leading sewing machine manufacturers at Texprocess will include AMF Reece, A-S-S Automated-Sewing-Systems, Dürkopp Adler, Pfaff, China’s Xi’an Typical and specialists for modern workplaces in the garment-manufacturing and textile-processing industries, Konrad Busche.
Registrations have also been received from Barudan and Tajima, two Japanese market leaders for embroidery machines. Sewing and embroidery accessories will be shown, inter alia, by sewing thread manufacturers, Amann & Söhne, Coats, Gütermann and Madeira, and needle specialists Ferd. Schmetz.
In the pattern design, CAD/CAM, plaiting and cutting technology segments, Assyst, Expert Systemtechnik, Lectra, IMA and Topcut-Bullmer will present their latest products at Texprocess. Human Solutions will also be there with measuring innovations while IT solutions for optimising operational processes and supply-chain management systems in the garment-manufacturing industry will be shown by a number of companies including AVM, Setlog and UpdateTexware.
International market leaders in the finishing sector, such as Veit, Rotondi and Macpi, as well as textile-logistics specialists including Meyer&Meyer and Transportex International AB, have also registered for Texprocess 2011. And manufacturers of special machines for processing technical textiles, such as KSL Keilmann Sondermaschinenbau and the PMF – Fortuna Group, will be taking part in the fair.
Messe Frankfurt added that 25,000 trade visitors are expected. Texprocess is aimed at the garment-manufacturing, textile-processing, trade, handicrafts, service, scientific and educational sectors. Technical-textiles companies are set to come from the automobile, aerospace, upholstery, mattress, packaging and occupational safety field sectors, according to Messe Frankfurt.
The fair will feature ‘Source-it’, a sourcing platform at which contract manufacturers from all over the world will present their expert services to the international garment-manufacturing industry. Another highlight will be the Network@Texprocess, an IT market and the ideal forum for IT companies to present their innovations for the garment-manufacturing industry every two years.
Detlef Braun, member of the board of management of Messe Frankfurt, said: “Our new concept for the fair has been given a unanimously positive reception around the world. This is shown by the numerous discussions we have held with companies and trade associations over recent months, as well as by the numerous registrations submitted by leading manufacturers from home and abroad.”
Meanwhile, new on the Texprocess Advisory Council are Minoru Tominaga, general manager of Tajima, Nadine Brehm, head of marketing at AVM GmbH & Co. Softbase KG at AVM Softbase, and Dieter Schätz, sales manager of KSL.
